Fomalhaut

1.
"FTL Drive Failure," a voice said quietly. I woke up to three suns and a disk of debris.
2.
Pillars 05:26
They did the best they could, but we fell into a gravity well.
3.
When I woke up a second time, I saw my ship was in pieces. This place was cold and I had so little left.
4.
Cartographer 05:14
They were now just one. I sent it off to explore and find shelter. I realize, I never learned to build a fire.
5.
It didn't come back. I stared at the sky as we rotated away from the daylight. I stared at the constellations wondering if I was looking at Home.

about

Fomalhaut. It is five songs of dark ambient space music. A short story based on “To Build a Fire” by Jack London accompanies the album. The story takes place in the Fomalhaut system, a remote uninhabited system from earth. Each song has a line from my short story in the lyrics section.
----
This album was created mostly with a modular synthesizer. The idea almost moved faster than hitting the record button so it is no wonder I've lost all the patch notes.
----
This album is best listened to in the dark or skywatching with headphones on.
