Ungeheier How do you pick just one track from this set as a favorite? This is another great release from Sine Mountain. The journey that this release takes you through is an experience I like to have in those few minutes I have before getting up and getting ready for the day. Thanks for making music and sharing it with us! Favorite track: You See a Second Set of Sails on the Horizon.

Imagine, reader, you are flying over meadows, cities, and into open night skies.

"A Plan to Have a Plan" was recorded for the New York Modular Society show Off The Grid. My modular synth was a 104hp skiff with one oscillator and sampler for voices. I also used a desktop FM synth and various effect pedals. The intention was to use a few melodies and textures to anchor the performance but still be flexible to "go off the grid."

During preparation for the show, I read the great Ada Palmer book Took Like the Lightning (again). The title of the album and some songs nod to that. There was a parallel in the book and my patching at the time, preparing eagerly for an event that could be unpredictable. I suppose that is primarily true for many things in our lives. Still, it feels good to have a plan, even if it's a plan to have a plan.
